Chapel Farms Secure Dog Paddock in Newquay, Cornwall is a private bookable enclosed 2 acre dog walking field for exercise and play for you to use as your own exclusive space which overlooks the Newquay area and surrounding countryside. 6 foot high specialised gates and fencing with small holes prevents larger breeds from jumping over and smaller breeds escaping through gaps.
Recall and temperament issues limited us to walking our Jack Russell - Toby on a lead. After once manoeuvring and escaping through standard stock fencing sized gaps we couldn't find anywhere to let him have exercise and fun off the lead. Therefore we decided to dedicate lots of time and effort into making this secure, fun and stimulating facility for our Toby and other dogs too. Our paddock is situated in a picturesque private field in Newquay, just next to Quintrell Downs. You and your dogs are able to book exclusive use of the paddock for 30 minutes or an hour so you can relax in the knowledge that your dog is in an enclosed secure walking field able to enjoy some exercise without being disturbed.
The paddock is filled with obstacles and fun activities for you and your dog(s) to enjoy. There is easy access from the main road and free parking (including no charge for additional cars). You are also able to drive into the paddock before shutting the gate behind you and letting your dog out to be extra secure - we know how important it can be to avoid those reactive moments. We have disabled access too. It is the perfect opportunity to have some fun time with your dog without a lead or muzzle. You may want to use the paddock for training or simply somewhere to go to avoid those reactive moments or recall issues. It is your very own space to do whatever you like with your dogs.
Really secure paddock - my dogs love it! Unlike standard stock fencing, the fencing has specialised smaller holes. It is more secure than any other field I have used so I know my dogs are not going to escape. Love being able to drive in first before letting my dogs out!
There are great facilities like a summer house to sit in close to the entrance (I suffer with bad hips so appreciated this). Also a water supply for when they need a drink. The field being on a slight slope is great too for exercising dogs muscles. Very well thought through
There is easy access and it is good value at 8 pounds per hour. There is free parking and no charges for extra cars. You can drive into the paddock so it is very good for my reactive dog. I must also say I appreciated the nice views from the field whilst enjoying my flask of tea too.
